According to the updated data released by the Union Health Ministry at 8 am on Wednesday, the death toll in the country has increased to 3,53,528 after 2,219 more deaths due to infection. At present 12,31,415 people are undergoing treatment for corona virus infection in the country, which is 4.23 percent of the total cases. In the last 24 hours, the total number of cases under treatment has come down by 72,287. The national recovery rate of patients is 94.55 percent.
According to the data, a total of 37,01,93,563 samples have been tested for COVID-19 in the country so far, out of which 19,85,967 samples were tested on Tuesday. The daily rate of samples coming infected is 4.66 percent, the daily rate of infection has remained less than 10 percent for the last 16 days. At the same time, the weekly rate of infection has also come down to 5.66 percent. The number of people who became infection free exceeded the new cases of infection for the 27th consecutive day.
According to the data, so far a total of 2,75,04,126 people have become infection free in the country. At the same time, the death rate from Kovid-19 is 1.22 percent. At the same time, a total of 23,90,58,360 people have been vaccinated against Kovid-19 in the country so far.
The number of infected people in the country had crossed 20 lakh on August 7 last year, 30 lakh on August 23 and more than 40 lakh on September 5. At the same time, the total cases of infection crossed 50 lakhs on 16th September, 60 lakhs on 28th September, 70 lakhs on 11th October, 80 lakhs on 29th October, 90 lakhs on 20th November. In the country, these cases crossed one crore on December 19 and crossed two crore on May 4.
According to the data, out of 2,219 people who died due to infection in the country in the last 24 hours, 702 were from Maharashtra, 409 from Tamil Nadu, 179 from Karnataka and 124 from Kerala.
According to the data of the ministry, a total of 3,53,528 people have died due to infection in the country so far, out of which 1,01,172 people from Maharashtra, 32,099 people from Karnataka, 27,765 people from Tamil Nadu, 24,668 people from Delhi, 21,425 from Uttar Pradesh. people, 16,460 people from West Bengal, 15,219 people from Punjab and 13,257 people from Chhattisgarh.
The Health Ministry said that out of those who have died so far, more than 70 percent of the patients also had other diseases. The ministry said on its website that its data is being reconciled with the data of the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR).
