Have Imran Khan and Modi government accepted?
After the ceasefire agreement on the Line of
Control between Pakistan and India, recently such statements of political and
military leaders of both countries have come to the fore, which have indicated
moving towards a peaceful settlement on the border. However, Pakistan Prime
Minister Imran Khan said in his statement that normalizing relations with India
before the restoration of the special constitutional status of Kashmir, which
was abolished in August 2019, would be a betrayal of the
blood of Kashmiris.
But experts say that at this time both the
countries have some economic and strategic reasons, which are forcing them to
reduce the tension. Experts believe that there is nothing new in these
statements, but if seen in the direction of finding a peaceful solution, then
there has been some softening in the attitude of both the sides. Among the
statements that have been given in recent times, the most discussed is the
statement of Indian Army Chief General Manoj Mukund Naravane in which he said
that it is entirely the responsibility of Pakistan to restore the "broken
trust" between India and Pakistan.
