New Vaccination Policy by India

The way PM Narendra Modi in his address to the nation changed the vaccine policy in the country and now decided to make the entire purchase of vaccine from the center, the team of health experts has become active to bring it to the ground level. They believe that this policy will slow down the pace of vaccination in the country, due to which people may have to worry about the vaccine for a few days.

According to health experts, after the new policy, the central government will again hold a meeting with the state governments regarding the vaccination campaign. In this, the Center will again discuss the demand for vaccine with the states and different outlines of each state will be decided regarding how quickly the vaccine can be supplied to the states. Keeping in mind the new policy, changes will also have to be made in the Kovin app. Meanwhile, the Center will also interact with the vaccine manufacturing companies and state its needs afresh.

According to experts, since the new policy came, the state governments have stopped buying the vaccine at their level. Until the Center provides vaccines to the states under the new policy, the states will continue to vaccinate people from their old stock. However, only three days stock of vaccine is available with the states. Once this is over, the pace of the vaccination campaign will slow down. Then when the central government starts providing vaccines to the states under the new policy from June 21, only then will the campaign gain momentum again.

This is how you will get the vaccine

The conflict between the states and the Center has ended with the new vaccine policy. The facility of getting the vaccine directly from the manufacturers will make it easier for the central government. Recently, the Health Department had informed that between August and December, Serum Institute will provide 50 crore, Bharat Biotech 386 crore, Bio-E 30 crore, Zydus Cadila 5 crore, Sputnik-V 10 crore vaccine. In this way, more than 130 crore vaccines will come from here.

Under the new policy, the central government may have to bear an expenditure of about 45 thousand crore rupees for the vaccine, in this budget the center had announced to give 35 thousand crores for the vaccination program of all the people. So far, about Rs 4,000 crore has been spent out of this.

At the same time, there are about 94 crore people in the country who are more than 18 years old. In such a situation, 188 crore doses will be required for them. According to the Center, by July 31, India will have 536 million doses. Of these, 23 crores have already been given. Now the government will give 1336 million vaccines under the new policy from August 1 to December 31, about 90 lakh vaccine doses will be applied every day. Then the target of full immunization by the center will be met by December.
